One of the things I love most is mixing and matching a few simple, beautiful things and watching them come together effortlessly. This week, I’ve paired the Banfi Toscana Cabernet Sauvignon–Sangiovese with a lovely Asiago Pressato DOP and the Scyavuru Sicilian Black Fig Jam. The wine has just enough depth to stand up to the cheese, while the dense and delightful fig jam adds that perfect touch of sweetness to round everything out.

It’s exactly the kind of combination I imagine opening on a late spring afternoon—windows open, a soft breeze coming through, a small table set with just enough to share. Nothing complicated, nothing overthought—just a few exceptional ingredients, good conversation, and the quiet pleasure of letting flavors unfold at their own pace.
